With the Ferrari F620 GT set to be unveiled in a few hours time, you can be excused for being a little bit excited. However, Lotus are set to unevil the new Special Edition Evora GTE ahead of it’s planned public debut and it’ll be unmasked by none other than Lotus F1 legend, Kimi Raikkonen.
2013 Lotus GTE F1 Special Edition
Unfortunately no details are available regarding performance upgrades over the standard GTE, but thanks to the images below you get the idea why it’s called the F1 Special Edition. It features the same black and gold paint theme found on the current Lotus Formula One car.
In addition to the paintwork, the Evora GTE F1 also features gold painted alloys and a number “10″ behind the front wheel arches which represents the number found on Romain Grosjean’s car this season.
The original Evora GTE is the most powerful car Lotus have ever produced, producing 444bhp from a 3.5-litre V6 engine with a 0-62mph time of well under 4 seconds.
More details on this Special Edition Evora, including power outputs, will be available when the car is displayed to the public on March 6th at Geneva.
