“Mini-tort” Limit Doubling!

Senators in Michigan voted last week in support of a bill that doubles the limit up to which a motorist can sue for crash damages not covered by their own insurance.

The vote for HB 5362 increases the “mini-tort” limit from $500 to $1,000.

Saab will buy Electric Car Company!

A newly named company, National Electric Vehicle Sweden is reportedly at the top of the list among those that have expressed interest in buying Saab out of bankruptcy. We reported in March a certain un-named Japanese-Chinese consortium was looking to buy the assets out of Swedish bankruptcy administration, and it would appear it is making progress. According to Autocar, on Monday Sweden’s company registration office approved the new Swedish-oriented name for the company backed by the Japanese-Chinese consortium.

The picturesque town of Woking, Surrey, in the south of England is home to the McLaren Technology Center (MTC), the McLaren Automotive factory that builds the MP4-12C supercar and, soon, a dedicated facility for McLaren GT.
